Many people consider the Male Ele dance to be the worst in the game.

I keep hearing info about 'backup' dancers. Can someone post a link for more info on this? Just trying to determine what the difference is between a 'alternate' dance, and 'backup' dancers...

I would have only bought the CE if it had skills that you could unlock and the aura, like GW Prophecies.

When you link, you only get 2 extra slots, doesnt matter if you have CE or Regular. It woudl be way unfair for those who do not want a collectors edition, or cant afford it, or wont be able to purchase it down the road when they will all be gone.

GW + GW:F = 6 slots linked
GW + GW:F CE = 6 slots linked

Not sure if is this what you asking for but here it goes .

The Collector's Edition includes the following:
Guild Wars Factions Game
Guild Wars Factions Premium Art Book (Concept and In Game Art)
Guild Wars Factions Desk Calendar
Guild Wars Factions Mouse Mat
Guild Wars Factions “Cantha” Poster
Guild Wars Factions Sticker Set
Guild Wars Factions Sound Track CD from Jeremy Soule
TWO additional character slots – when added to existing Guild Wars accounts
Exclusive in game CE items –Signature Emotes for Ritualist and Assassin professions in Factions
Special ‘emotes’ useable exclusively by players who purchase the Guild Wars Factions CE.
Customers with a CE access key on their account will be able to trigger special dances for Ritualist and Assassin characters. These will be augmented versions of the standard dance, with special effects, and when the dance begins several backup dancers will appear behind the character to augment his dance moves with custom backup dances. For the Ritualist, these will be dancing spirits, similar to the spirits that he summons on the battlefield. For the Assassin, these will be shadowy assassins who do "ninja-style" moves synchronized with the character's dance.

I'm pretty sure the original CE didn't have unlocked skills.

Prophecies CE did not have skill unlocks , but the special edition did have unlock skills

* Special Edition includes:
- 1 DVD ROM
- The Art of Guild Wars – Book 2
- May of Tyria
- CD of Bonus Material
- Code of unlocking Skills PLUS Weapon or Armor upgrades

I believe that was the European version of the collectors edition. Unless I am mistaken the Europeans did not have a CE only a SE?

no, there was a special edition and a collectors edition. The preorder only gave you an in game item depending on where you purchased it.

Why do you think it's called a "Collector's Edition"?

The map is what I want. period. I have the large poster from the Strat guide and love it. Its nice to just look up at the wall to see a Tyrian map on for a quick looksee where I am... I also add in printscreen updates to it on occassion. Like for Battle Ilse and Gren Footprint area... Its not as cool as the MOOMANiBE map, but how many people can print a huge poster size map of this kind? not many... And places like kinkos and copycat will not do it as its Anet Copyright material... So the simple inclusion of that poster map of cantha was all I needed to encourage me to get CE for this edition.

We Europeans had a CE too, albeit a little different than the American one. I think the contents were the same, but you got a hardcover book, instead of the softcover we had? On top of that, the SE came out after Sorrow's Furnace update. The skills and unlocks are nothing special, just regular skills you get at the beginning of the game. Nothing new.

I really hated that they released this version, with the artbook: book II. Luckily, a friend gave me the booklet, as he didn't need it .

I heard some Jeremy Soule in the mix. That pretty much sealed it. Aside from all the other cool music.
